Read Dostoevsky With Us: Book Club for “The Idiot”

This May, we’re launching our first book club. And after some thoughtful deliberation, we’ve decided that our first book will be The Idiot by Dostoevsky. We wanted to choose something neither obscure nor overdone. In June, you can decide for yourself if we’ve hit the mark. (Yes, we still want to do War & Peace.)

Here’s how it works:

  • We’ll meet on Zoom/Teams once a week for five weeks

  • Our dates are May 6, May 13, May 20, May 27, and June 3

  • We’ll meet 8-9:30 pm EST

  • Anyone is welcome to join

  • The translation by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky is recommended but not required

  • It’s free to join, but please only sign up if you can join for at least 4/5 sessions

  • Other than reading, no homework or assignments

We’d love to have you join! Sign up via this form so we can be in touch and get the meeting link to you.
